Selecting the Jade
Each piece of jade is considered for its individual tone, translucency, texture and natural markings. Luminous white surfaces and warm golden-russet coloration are selected not simply for uniformity, but for the distinctive character they can bring to a finished CONGTAOJU creation.
Suzhou Hetian Jade Carving
Once the jade has been selected, its natural contours, coloration and translucency begin to guide the form. Our artisans refine each piece through careful carving and hand-finishing, revealing sculptural motifs while preserving the individual character of the stone. Traditional jade-working sensibility meets the precision of contemporary high jewelry.
Goldwork & Gemstone Setting
After carving, each jade element is brought together with refined gold craftsmanship and carefully placed gemstone accents.
